SAY NO TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF MOORE PLACE
Planning application 2025/3373 was submitted by Charterhouse Strategic Land and Moore Place Holdings to create 206 new homes on the site of the old Moore Place Golf Course. If this goes ahead, this will have a material impact on Esher and surrounding areas, with invaluable Green Belt land gone forever.
As a group of local residents, we are vehemently opposed to the development of invaluable and irreplacable Green Belt land. We ask that you join us in opposing this planning application.
Key issues
Development of the Moore Place Golf Course will:
• Cause permanent loss of invaluable Green Belt and biodiverse green space and wildlife
• Add 250+ extra cars onto the Esher road network, adding even more congestion on an already overwhelmed traffic system in and around Esher. Parking at the station and in the town centre is already inadequate without the added influx of cars and residents.
• Increase pressure on local services, such as GP surgeries and schools
• Increase pressure on already overwhelmed public transport systems
• Increase air pollution
• Increase risk of flooding in the West End and Llammas Lane areas
• Change the semi-rural character of Esher forever with a very dense housing development
How you can help protect the Moore Place Green Belt
The Moore Place Golf Course Green Belt is under threat. We need every member of our community to take a stand. Every action, no matter how small, brings us closer to saving one of Esher's main green spaces.
